Why Ranks #1–10 Are Still Missing

The official Top 100 Player Ratings page starts its list at #11 (Kawhi Leonard, 93 OVR) and runs through #100. Ranks #1 through #10 — presumably the highest-rated players in the game — simply aren't on the page yet. 2K has framed its pre-launch content as an "early scouting report," and the full Preseason Breakdown: Game Reveal is scheduled for August 18, 2026, so the top 10 may be held for that moment — but 2K hasn't said so explicitly. Treat the exact reveal date for ranks #1–10 as TBD until 2K states one directly.

Ranks #22–100, In Brief

Below the 90 OVR Club, ratings step down gradually: Jamal Murray sits at 89, a cluster of Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Deni Avdija, and Austin Reaves at 88, and a large group at 87 that includes Trae Young, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and rookie Cooper Flagg. Most of the rest of the list runs through the 84–86 range into the 50s and 60s, then settles into the low-to-mid 80s from around rank #70 down to #100, which closes with Walker Kessler at 81 OVR. What Is Confirmed: The Badge System

53 total badges, 19 of which are brand new this year, with 6 removed from NBA 2K26's list. Three new badges have now been named directly by 2K: Pace (increases the ball handler's sprint speed in all offensive situations), Wall-Up (decreases the opponent's shot chance when playing hands-up defense), and Flash (improves movement during transition offense without the ball, and on defense). Beyond those three, no other specific new badge names have been officially confirmed — anything else attributed to NBA 2K27 should be treated as a leak or rumor, not a fact.
