NBA 2K27 Editions Compared: Standard vs Deluxe vs Ultra

Comparing NBA 2K27 editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultra. Full breakdown of price, VC, early access, and MyCAREER and MyTEAM bonuses for each edition.

NBA 2K27 comes in three editions: Standard ($69.99), Deluxe ($99.99), and Ultra ($149.99). The core gameplay is identical across all three — what changes is Virtual Currency, Early Access timing, and a stack of MyCAREER and MyTEAM bonus content. Here's exactly what each tier includes.

Standard Edition — $69.99

Standard Edition is the base game at $69.99 across all platforms. It includes a 10,000 VC pre-order bonus, but does not include the bundled MyCAREER/MyTEAM content that Deluxe and Ultra get, and it does not include Early Access — Standard Edition buyers play at the September 4, 2026 global launch alongside everyone else.

Deluxe Edition — $99.99

Deluxe Edition is $99.99 and includes 100,000 VC total, Early Access starting August 26, 2026, and a Season 1 Pro Pass plus Summer Pass (Seasons 7-9). Its MyCAREER bundle includes 25 uses each of six types of Skill Boosts, 25 uses each of three types of Gatorade Boosts, a 2-Hour 2XP Coin, and Victor Wembanyama and Caitlin Clark jerseys. Its MyTEAM bundle includes the Full '27 Series 1 Team Selection, a Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack, five '27 Series 1 Packs, and a 2-Hour 2XP Coin.

Ultra Edition — $149.99

Ultra Edition is $149.99 and includes 135,000 VC total, the same Early Access and Season Pass access as Deluxe, and everything in Deluxe's MyCAREER and MyTEAM bundles — plus two things Deluxe doesn't get. On the MyCAREER side, Ultra adds a Roses Oversize Hoodie, referencing cover athlete Derrick Rose. On the MyTEAM side, Ultra adds two guaranteed high-value cards delivered later in the season: a guaranteed 98 OVR card available December 2026, and a guaranteed Invincible card available May 2027.

The Pre-Order Bonus (Before August 17)

Pre-ordering Deluxe or Ultra Edition before August 17, 2026 unlocks a limited-time bonus on top of the normal pre-order VC: 15,000 VC, a Racecar Helmet, and a G.O.A.T. Stephen Curry MyTEAM card in NBA 2K26, plus a Hyperdrive Suit and a 90 OVR Victor Wembanyama MyTEAM card in NBA 2K27. This bonus is specific to Deluxe/Ultra pre-orders made before that date — it's not available on Standard Edition or after the deadline.

Loyalty Discount for Returning Players

NBA 2K26 players get a 10% Loyalty Discount when pre-ordering NBA 2K27 Ultra Edition on the same console platform. It's only available through the platform store (not third-party retailers), is limited to one per platform account, and Ultra Edition itself is digital-only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Availability Restrictions

Deluxe and Ultra Editions are not available in Belgium, Brazil, or South Korea. If you're in one of those regions, Standard Edition is currently the only confirmed option.

Which Edition Should You Buy

If you don't care about Early Access and don't play MyCAREER or MyTEAM heavily, Standard Edition covers the full game for the lowest price. If you want to start playing on August 26 instead of September 4, or want the bundled Skill Boosts, jerseys, and MyTEAM packs, Deluxe is the mid-tier pick. Ultra is aimed specifically at MyTEAM players who value the two guaranteed high-OVR cards later in the season — if you don't play MyTEAM, the price jump from Deluxe to Ultra buys you comparatively little.
