Cap Breakers — attribute boosts tied to badges and takeover — now preview their exact effect directly in the Builder once your build reaches 99 OVR, instead of requiring trial and error in The City. A new 16-slot Synergy system also adds attribute boosts on top of your badge setup: 12 slots give +1, and 4 give a bigger +2.
Signature Blueprints
If you don't want to build entirely from scratch, the Builder ships with 40 Signature Blueprint templates at launch as starting points.
Building on Mobile: NBA 2K HQ
2K launched NBA 2K HQ, a free companion app for iOS and Android, on August 21, 2026, replacing the retired MyNBA 2K app. It includes the full NBA 2K27 MyPLAYER Builder — for the first time in the series, you can finalize height, wingspan, position, attribute spread, and all 53 badges without sitting in front of a console. You can create up to 15 custom builds in the app, and they upload automatically to your console setup, with QR codes available for sharing builds. The app requires iOS 18+ or Android 11.0+ and a persistent internet connection.
