- Finishing: Post Spin Catalyst, Ghost Stepper
- Playmaking: Pace — increases the ball handler's sprint speed in all offensive situations
- Defense: Wall-Up (decreases the opponent's shot chance when playing hands-up defense), Ankle Braces, Seatbelt
- Rebounding: Crasher, Possession Closer, Sync Snatcher, Boxout Boss, Breaker
- Physicals: Work Horse, Flash (improves movement during transition offense without the ball, and on defense), Bruiser
2K hasn't published individual effect descriptions for every badge beyond Pace, Wall-Up, and Flash — those three remain the only badges with confirmed, detailed effect text as of this writing.
Badge Tokens and Loadouts
Equipping badges costs Badge Tokens, and token costs vary by your MyPLAYER's height and position. The Builder supports up to 4 total badge loadouts — 1 default loadout plus 3 more earned through REP, Challenges, or Crews — so you can swap badge setups between game modes without rebuilding from scratch.
The Synergy System
NBA 2K27 adds a 16-slot Synergy system tied to badge combinations: 12 of those slots give a +1 boost, and 4 give a bigger +2 boost.
Cap Breakers
Cap Breakers, the attribute boosts tied to badges and takeover, are now previewable directly in the Builder once your build reaches 99 OVR, showing exactly how much of a boost each attribute gets — a change from previous years, where you'd often have to build and test in The City to see the payoff.
